"Girl Dads" is a single-camera sitcom that follows four friends who support each other in raising their daughters. The main character, Jamie McCarthy, is a widower with three daughters. He navigates the challenges of single parenthood as his youngest daughter, Geneva, starts kindergarten, his middle daughter, Riley, faces new obstacles at school, and his oldest daughter, Eliza, a high school junior, deals with her first boyfriend.

George and Harry Soto-Johnson, a married couple for eight years, face their own struggles. George, a former NFL linebacker turned broadcaster, and Harry, a high-powered lawyer, manage their careers alongside the complexities of parenting their six-year-old daughter, Jada, who thinks she's a mermaid.

Mark Kincade, the last of the Girl Dads, is adjusting to life as a caregiver after losing his job while his wife works long hours. Their teenage daughter Paige and ten-year-old Sidney are taking full advantage of the situation.
